So. I haven't commented on this in forevers. And I don't finish meems but whatevs. Some how this makes sense at near one AM .... and well, we all know that I am easily enabled :/
1. Pick one (or more) of my characters (any of them, past or present) and list up to 3 things/subjects/quotes/etc. that you would like me to extrapolate on. | | Saturday, September 24th, 2011 | | 10:27 pm |

In Which Nathalie Bitches Pointlessly and Mostly To Remove Cobwebs ... and express massive indignati Damn you Pottermore. Not only were you weeks late - which I can forgive - you sort me in Ravenclaw. RAVENCLAW! WTF. What the hell. Crush my Hufflepuffian dreams. I don't even know. I do not understand how this happened. This makes no sense. Might as well call me a Gryffindor and get it over it. THAT would be the least likely house for me. PFFT. I do like blue though. My favorite color along with yellow.
On another note. I have totally forgotten this thing existed. Pfft. I have totally forgotten that a lot of things existed TBH - which thus proves that I'm not a Ravenclaw no attentionspan ... though that doesn't much give me a winning endorsement for Hufflepuff now does it? - I will hopefully get back on that. 55 percent of my attention has been on the job search. Which is going well, thank you for asking. 10 percent is on tumblr which has eaten my life. 15 percent was on finishing my paper. Which I finished ten days ago and I am still in shock that I finished and passed. Very little has been on RP which I should fix soon. Whatever. I don't care. I don't have to be nice to people or loyal or nothing as I am NOT A HUFFLEPUFF. Okay. Rant completed.
On the plus side. I have a toad. It's a Western Green thing. I named it Westeros. Very odd story but that is what it is.
I have missed Potter rping. Like whoa. Maybe Pottermore - despite it's horrifically wrong sorting - will inspire me to write more. Or you know maybe I will after I figure out the job sitch.
And that is the ONLY Ravenclaw type thing I have, I think /despairs ... except not really. I am moving from indignant to tickled. | | Monday, July 25th, 2011 | | 11:36 pm |
Day Nine: Favorite female character in a drama show I cannot honestly say who I love more. Ziva. Morgana. Or Santana. I think that I may love the first two more from exposure and I will always have a more special place in my heart for Morgana because I have actually written her in various forms - but for what is shown in T.V. it varies, I feel. Nevertheless, I am not going to write about either of the as I've already written about Santana and make no mistake that I will vomit rainbow colored excitement about the other two soon enough. I will instead talk about this B.A.M.F. that I just marvel, that I was slightly surprised by how much I love, and am terribly, TERRIBLY disappointed that I will not get to see more of. Oh, Starz why you have to do Camelot like that? Keep in mind I haven't seen the last two episode (yes, STILL), so who knows if that would have ruined the character for me but doubtful. ( For you this is Nothing. For me Everything ) | | Sunday, July 24th, 2011 | | 10:42 pm |
Day Eight: Favorite female character in a comedy show( Why I love Santana Lopez ) First of all, anything you do became my business when you decided to toss that slushie up in my grill. ... Huh, okay. See here's what's gonna go down. You have two choices. You stay here and I crack one of your nuts, right or left that's your choice, or you walk away and live to be a douchebag another day. Oh, and also, I have razor blades hidden in my hair. I have a ton just all up in there. | | Thursday, July 21st, 2011 | | 8:03 pm |
In Which Nathalie Actually Has Stuff to Say On Journal ... three things actually. So. In other news. I totally tuned out and forgot all about the new Spider-Man film. No. That isn't a lie. I occasionally/vaguely paid attention. I am wanting to look forward to it as I can barely recall the first film of the other one and didn't watch the second two. And I love Spider-Man. I don't read comics. At all. They were never my cuppa but I can actually say I've read more than a couple Spider-Man issues (damn if I remember the names, just what happened). And I almost always watched the cartoons. Even that odd, yet sort of interesting, one MTV had going for a while. He's my favorite superhero outside of Batman and the Flash. And I always thought that he and Gwen were so cute. So this is going to be fun. Sally Fields as Aunt May is sorta genius imho. And I am so pleased that the Lizard is the villain. I think this one will be great. I'm getting a little excited just thinking about it :-D ( Peter and Gwen sitting in a tree ... )I like her as a blonde. It's mad cute. Link here <-- Sort of amuses me. In the sense that when faynia linked this to me my first thought was this exactly: grapecase 4:59 pm ah lol oh emma so basically she will be playing a nicer hermione with a guy who is a permanetly bad tempered ron? That being said. I can't spell. And also, I am sort of curious. As I LOOOOOOVED Hellboy. Both of them (and am manically rocking back and forth in hopes of a third, NO MATTER WHAT HE SAYS. Well no, not really but a third would be GRAND. I mostly wanna see how their babies would turn out). Lastly, this and this has me mostly, sorta, excited. I like that she is going to be involved with this. Though I am stumped how they're going to make a twenty-two book series with a different hero/heroine in each book into a T.V. show. However, maybe that'll be the webisodes and the actual show will be the connect parts. I am looking forward to Nick's series being a film though. And I am going to start laughing like hell when people start paying attention to Dark-Hunters when it gets on the visual media. Oh, people learn to read. Not that I should talk. I have yet to read SoIaF but I actually have it. So there. It's just that people are so fickle. And while I am excited to see the fandom/series getting attention. It is going to be a pain in the ass to see these characters badly played or dropped like they're hot or something. Ah, well. Whatever. Positives, right? I just want legitimate actor faces for Tabby and Sundown so I can stop beating my head to find the perfect one. Though I love Craig Horner as my cussing, sardonic, loyal undead Fabio dusting cowboy. If the last paragraph made NO sense to you (well less sense than my usual). Ask and you shall receive tons of links to the cheesyness, often deep and profound, intricate world of the Dark-Hunters. That every fantasy lover should give a shot at least once. | | Wednesday, July 20th, 2011 | | 11:09 pm |
Day Seven: A female character that needs more screen time
Dany Stormbamf. Duh Okay. No? Vivian. Oh, wait! Not that it matters they canceled Camelot. Because people make bad decisions in this world I think that I will go with - no one. Today I am good. I mean, this WOULD have been the place where I ranted about Gwen and Morgana if you had caught me a year ago. However, after series three - Gwen actually got lines where she wasn't simply regulated to the Love Interest or the Everyone Flirts With Me Monster. She and Merlin (yes, I know ... and Merlin. However, they seemed to forget their friendship in season 2 or well, put it in the backburner, I thumbs this shit up) were supersecret spys and united in their Arthur mockery. She had moments that had nothing to do with Bradley's/Arthur's sexy, though slightly misshapen, head. And while Morgana's involved her acting like a Scooby Doo villian with her Smirk of Doom (tm) she had some agency. Sure mostly all Morgause's plans but she was AWESOME with a sword. And her dresses. More importantly she had SCREEN TIME! I have no complaints that fit in this category and if the trailer is proof of the upcoming series I shall not have any for a long while.
I'd like more Kono but I haven't watched all of 5-0 to say that fairly and tbh, that'd be like saying give me more Dany and Arya. It isn't so much that they are unfairly given screentime. I just want more scenes of them being B.A.M.F. (I mean who wouldn't want more scenes of spoiler? THE Khaleesi dancing with her dragons or Arya sticking fat boys with Needle or Kono and her hands of fury?) and less of everybody else. | | Tuesday, July 19th, 2011 | | 11:34 pm |
Day Six: Favorite female-driven show; Charmed. Like y'all didn't see that one coming. Because I am hungry, just spent four hours working on a practice exam, and do not want to explode on twenty pages of why I love Charmed, what could have been done better, my frustration and acceptance (and semi-appreciation?) of it's underratedness. And other stuff. I will just leave you with why I loved it, why I wanted so bad to watch it when I was - what nine? Because of one word. Magic. Anything is possible. To have the ability to close doors with your mind, see the future, and freeze time seemed very awesome to little me. I wanted to see how they dealt with their Responsibilities as Charmed Ones and their lives. If anyone did personal gain. I thought Magick and witches were FANTASTIC (both of the fictional variety and the realistic). Go Wicca! The dramatic aspect made it more yummy than Sabrina the Teenage Witch and lacked the nubile young woman with the illegal old, dead boyfriend which I found unappealing even at that age (and for some reason Buffy creeped me out back then and Charmed didn't. Don't ask). For all the errors of Charmed and ways it didn't go. It did give me lots of magic. Anything was possible. There were tons of struggles. It taught you things when you weren't even thinking about it - that every person should know. It's okay to screw the rules. Nice guys don't always finish last (though you might get thrown into walls ...). Consequences bite back faster than you might expect. And while the world might not appreciate you, you always have family - who might not appreciate you either but if anyone understand the crazy that you were raised with, it's them. It had females for everyone. Humor. And dude's who appreciated strong chicks and their quirks and that yes, they really are that insane. How awesome is that? My favorite lesson of Charmed though was to embrace those quirks. Individuality is a good thing and never allow anyone to file yours down. So, yes. As always I said more than I meant. Deal with it. ( Pictures to express my love and what I might have missed out on ) | | Monday, July 18th, 2011 | | 11:39 pm |
Because it is too ridiculously humid to be in front of a laptop (conking out soon) never mind writing about stuff. I bring prezzies. Merlin series 4 (the real one) mini (infinitesimal) trailer. Spoilers obviously. Though I don't know if it spoils much other than fuckery and Morgana being legitimately epic. Like no smirk in sight. Sure, yes a bit dramatic. But what DOESN'T she do dramatically? (Even her smirks ... Yes it's a love hate thing me and those smirks.) Here. Viola! I will just say. I am very much excited for series four now. Not that I didn't have moments. But evil dresses and magic! And a slightly sorrowful face - so character development! Excitement. For the HP fans in honor of the film that I have yet to see. |
