Stolen from zombiesruleMatt -- I didn't have to think about. I already wrote it in his app :-P Matt likely took a while. Because he have parts of him that could fit well in three of the houses. The hat likely gave him like half a second for Gryffindor and was like, gtfo. Which he should have guessed, but he had wanted it. He got five seconds each for Hufflepuff and for Slytherin. Mostly for that determination of his, for both. Hufflepuff for his tendency of being a bit blindly loyal. Which would forever amuse me had Matt been a snake. But alas, Ravenclaw was decided as best for all. Tish -- Tish was likely five seconds. Tish always knew she would be a Slytherin. Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw were the back-up plans. Because she is a Viridian. DUH. However, the hat, hahaha the hat. Briefly considered her for Gryffindor. For three entire seconds. The conversation likely was like this: Hmm, yes. How about Gryffindor? Tish: What the effing HELL!? Hat: You could suit - Tish: No! Hat: But - Tish: No! Stop now before I shred you. Hufflepuff received half a second. Ravenclaw didn't get anything. Domi - Domi was 10 seconds. Domi likely got a half-second for Gryffindor. It spent time debating between Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw for most of that time. She would have made a good Hufflepuff. Loyal, fair, accepting, friendly. And she probably insisted on talking it out. Even though Ravenclaw was something she always figured was a given. So in short, the only reason it took so long was because Domi wanted to talk to the hat. Xander -- Would you believe that he would be my shortest? Likely three seconds, probably a bit less. The hat did consider him for another house. Gryffindor. But Xander didn't see it. At all. And the hat agreed that really Hufflepuff would be the best for him to grow in. |

Matt: Molly, Gracie, Colin, Emily, Aaron, Susan, Alice, Dave, Iona, and Iona's brother whose name currently escapes me. .... I am blanking. If you think that Matt should be getting you a present. Just SAY so. I didn't forget your charrie to be mean or because they're not important to Matt. I forgot them because I didn't get much sleep. And I'm blanking. Domi: Louis, Vic, James, Albus, Fred, anyone with the Surname Weasley/Potter, Michael (?), Ravenclaw Quidditch, Gracie, ... anyone else? Sammie: Harrison, Evie, Luke, Nikki (because she has JUST informed me that it is wrong and weird to get a bloke you hardly know a present without getting his girl one. Even if he was a really cool mentor), Phil, whoever the hell her other mentor is. Sammie clearly needs to talk to more people. Xander: Cady, Georgie, Phil, CM, Roxanne, Erick, Hugo, Seamus. Melodie and Ellyn might get anonymous somethings ... depending how courageous/stalkerish Xander is feeling. I think I have all of Xander's ... please say that it is so. Luke down the road. 91 Presents: Draco: Pansy. His parents. Helena: Everyone in the chocolate frog club!, Ken, ... Amanda. haha. Colligo: Harry: His mum, Remus, Sirius ... Snape (ahaha, just to weird him and Sirius out). Chris: Peter, Prue, Prue Mel. Angela, for Peter's sake. Claire. Para: Andrea: No one. Paige: Cathy and Lindsay? Sarah. Clary? Kendra: Slayers (Buffy especially). Tara: Cathy and Lindsay? Sarah. Clary? Sylar? (what she's Tara, gimmie a break). Xander and Anya, the Slayers (Buffy and Kennedy especially), Spike, Angel. ... hopefully that is it. Morgana: Arthur, Gwen, Merlin, Ruby If you feel that your character should be getting a present from one of mine. Just say so. If your character is being excluded it is NOT because I don't care. I am tired and as I said above, my brain is blanking. This list is likely to be updated A LOT. So just drop me a line somewhere. And ALSO. Certain Characters, like Sammie or Tish, would be GREAT at gift getting. Me? With all these characters to get gifts for? Not so much. | 1:59 am | Alignments: 91 characters. Okay. Okay. Alignments. Wow. I'm only doing BNW. Cause really you can just look up Draco's here. I agree with Draco's mostly. In fact, at 2:19 AM, I can't think of why I'd disagree his at all. True and Canon draco is Lawful Evil. He's too cruel to be completely Lawful Neutral. Too much of an agenda. I have more stuff to say but ... sleep. Okay, so let's do 91 as well. Helena is eleven. And for the reason why I said 'mostly' for Draco. Is because I TRY not to be quick to cast an adult (or old enough) character into an alignment. Which translate to, I do not like doing so for children. BUT, if I were to do so. I would say Helena is Chaotic Good. At age eleven. Despite what she may think or act like at times, she doesn't have the disregard for Chaotic Neutral. She is SURE AS FUCKING HELL not lawful good. And she is not naive enough to be neutral good. That's just lollipop sick-making. And puppies and light. And NO way. For those of you who knew older Helena. I saw her something of a True Neutral because of her disregard of BOTH sides but with the tendency for good. But I saw her more of a Good Neutral (which might not be the right term?) than a Neutral Good. Her alignments, if you can call it that, were to people not to ideals and factions. Which technically according to the second quote sort of fit. Except she just thought they BOTH sucked. But getting into that just gets more complicated with characterization and etc.Edgar is Neutral Good. Once upon a time he used to be Lawful Good. He was never Lawful Neutral. I think what makes him a Gryffindor, that idealisticness and that willingness to try and fight for what is right is what kept him from being Lawful Neutral when was younger. He was more than interested. He care(s)d. Fatherhood and Marriage and nearly 15 years with the order? Has DEFINITELY made him more Neutral Good. I don't think he could ever become Chaotic. Not in him to be. Note: Will do BNW later today! |

| 4:40 am | Help please? There is something in my eye and I have to be awake in three hours. But if anyone can throw ideas out there, I'd be much obliged. My goal: add in the possibilities of including nationals of countries and the impact they could have on the nation-state's capacity to fund and participate in mediator roles in intractable conflicts My original question: Do you believe that INGOs could play a stronger role than a third state in mediating in intractable conflicts? Meaning conflicts such as the situation in Chad or the long-lasting ill feelings between Israel and the Palestinians. Especially when you consider the fact that, even though INGOs lack certain funding, they would consist members of these respective states and there for might to have a so-called “purer” interest rather than an outside nation-state that could easily appear to have an ulterior motive (and as such exacerbate the situation further). If so, how? And I'm supposed to define intractable conflicts, define why the third nation state might not work, and something about funding. Which I believe involved that states might be willing to fund and make participants of ingos (especially since they are their own citizens) diplomats or something. Though I am thinking, of something I read in Beyond Intractability on negotiations, involing constituents (and how the fruit of negotiation has to satisfy both them and the advisary) and since that said citizens are these constituents then the diplomat role might not be necessary? maybe? Ths is what I got so far. What is in bold is the closest to the final aspect that I've got which is not finished because I have been on this for nearly three hours, and the laptop is hurting my leg and there really is something in my eye. And no, I don't expect anyone to DO this for me. But I suck at question forming? And ideas will always be grand. Thanks.: On the one hand I want to start it off with, "INGOs are said to have the grave limitation in being too narrow in the situation that they handle" but that seems to be making it too broad. On the other hand, I want to start in with a definition about Intractability and idk, I was thinking about the topic and I was wondering wouldn't that be starting off too broadly? Sorry to be posting this so late but I wanted to read some stuff on negotiations first. Despite the complaints of specific INGOs being too narrow in their reach and the situations they deal with it is an accepted fact that they contain an element of universalism. Such that they contain individuals of all walks of life, that have learned to bridge social gaps because they become involved with people who are different than they are. Working together towards a common goal, not despite of differences, but including them. [And then I sort of blanked, I want to mention how negotiations tend to require trust, which is already there amongst members of an ingo group. But that feels like it might be too soon, but I don't know what to use for a transition.] n ideal circumstances, negotiators also establish personal relationships that facilitate effective communication. This helps negotiators to focus on commonalities and find points of common interest. There are certain conflicts between two states that seem to be irresolvable. They are difficult to manage and have been long-going. They seem to be resistant to all forms of peace-making efforts because there is a decided lack of trust between each state (or in certain cases ethnic groups) because of a long history of grievances that stem from different national identities and/or different values and beliefs. Conflicts such as the situation in Chad and the long-lasting ill feelings between Israel and the Palestinians, that have earned the title of "intractable conflicts". | 1:26 pm | I'm a great fan of the OT4 on Merlin. I know, I know, some people might be thinkg 'ew' or 'weirdo' and quite frankly ... I don't care? Sorry? I don't. I'm a firm believer of to each their own on fandom (yes, including my last rant of being tired of people slashing everything left and right). And I like moresomes. Nothing too crazy, but I'm fine with polyamorous relationships. And quite frankly, in my opinion, BBC Merlin's OT4 is the best one (better than SGA's and that's saying something). It's the sort of chemistry that I'll take it anyway I can get. Like Wes and Faith. And to some extant Cordy and Angel (though, them couply isn't all that high on my list, even if I do greatly enjoy them). I will take them anyway I can get them. Biffles. In a relationship. As family of heart, if not of blood. The Chemistry is just capital C and grr! And that just ended up being longer than I wanted it to be. I just wanted to just say this is probably the reason I have so much love for this video. You know, other than the fact that the song very surprisingly fits it. Though, admittedly, I could have gone on for much longer :-P In other news ... there are no other news. I just wanted to share this. Though I owe people tags and need to electrocute my peeps in Colligo. Oh, and update my list of characters. And have Draco write back to his mummy. He's telling me that the owl is named Hermes, or maybe I'm telling him this because he's also saying that one shouldn't name ones owl cause you know, something. Though I know he wants to. | 2:14 pm | Warning: Tiniest bit of SPN spoilers. I've decided to share this ramble here as well as my LJ. I don't know why people have two. I was going to have one be life and one be a CDJ but life is sort of stupid for me right about now in every aspect possible. Except for RP so that's good and look, already this ramble is different. Anywho, College sucks. And I might be in love with NCIS LA. Yes. I know. It's so horribly cliche in a LOT of stuff. The lines are cheesy at times. Though funny and even snappy. The side characters need more play. Not that I don't love LL Cool J running around and that other dude too. I have no idea what his name is, let's call him G. I even love that. At first I thought it was all like, yo G. But that's his name. Which makes it funny. He can be all waddup G! Without being stereotypical. The whole not knowing his first name thing? IDK how much I buy into that. Might be a little TOO little Oprhan Ann-boy. But it's good. Kenzie is hot, had to stop that and say it, cause she is. I have to use her as PB soon. I also like how LL Cool J's character (sorry, I will forever call him LL) and the white dude, whose name I am too lazy to look up, are like best-buds and cop partners and there is no homoeroticness about it. Not that I don't LOOOOOOOOOVE homoeroticness. But when you get smack in the face with Wincest and Wealsey twinscest ALL THE EFFING TIME! It's fucking TIRING. Not to mention EVERYONE and their GRANDMOTHER'S DOG wants to be bromantic. It's like it was fine before. Why do you have to be all over it because it's "cool" now. Why couldn't you like it because it was cool for what it is not because everyone else and their chihuahua are insane over it. Whatever. Though I am so sure that the only reason they gave that dude in White Collar (USA channel people!) a wife was because they don't want people to slash them. I'm pretty certain anywayz. Though even though I have yet to see the show. I'm already slashing them in my mind. They're so hot for each other. It's like they made it out that way on purpose. *nods* Like the Merlin folk. I know I've said this already but everything is slashtastic on that show. And that's okay. I don't personally like any ship but OT4 and Arthur and Gwen sometimes. But I am fine with Arthur/Merlin/Lancelot (sorry people who are not?). That's okay with me. So are Merlin/Arthur. That makes sense. Dean and Cas? Yes I guess so. But idk. It ANNOYS me! It's like just for five seconds DO NOT SLASH! And if you know me at ALL you know what a shock that is because I am an avid slasher. AND an avid OT3er. I can 3 almost anything and find a logical (or cracktastic) way to make it make sense. I said almost mind. Neville/Snape/and the Squid. Do not make sense to me. I mean really. The squid. I don't get that. I think I'm done rambling now. It's nice now. Doing it (almost) a second time. Very feel good. The Dean being Michael? I so saw that coming. If you didn't ... | 1:11 pm | After I finished reading this. Matt had a moment where he paused, sighed, rolled his eyes and and said "I knew I shouldn't have let them watch those Mission Impossible movies." Matt is stuck between laughing over Colin's code name and being like, why does Molly have the coolest one? And I personally love Dave's. It is so fitting for some reason and not just cause of the D. And with those owls, Matt has officially given up hope that he has ONE sister that isn't insane. Susan Longbottom you have crushed him. |
